01.06.2006 - Campaign "Send a postcard to Latvian National hockey team!" has finished

Today, 1June, in Riga the management of Latvian Post presented postcards written by hockey fans to the Latvian National ice hockey team. They have been written in Latvian, Russian and English languages expressing support and prod to the entire team as well as individual players.

In the ceremony representatives from the Latvian National team - captain Aleksandrs Semjonovs and forward Leonids Tambijevs (pictured in the middle) - were present.

The campaign "Send a postcard to Latvian National hockey teami!" was organised by Latvian Post in cooperation with BADDOG during the ice hockey world championship that took place in Riga in May. During the campaign period everyone could take specifically designed free postcards out of BADDOG displays, write a message and send it to the Latvian National ice hockey team or individual players by droping the postcard in a box that was attached to the BADDOG display. There were 50 such boxes located in cafes, pubs, clubs, bars of Riga.
